Medical Service Bureau can help low-income with prescriptions

WICHITA, Kansas – KSN received a huge response about prescription drug prices and how much they can vary from pharmacy to pharmacy.

You might qualify for financial assistance with your prescriptions.

Medical Service Bureau is a non-profit that helps low-income people living or working in Sedgwick County.

“Fill in the gaps, help them cover the prescriptions or maybe their co-pays. We also assist with those,” said Carol Brewer, Medical Service Bureau.

An individual who shows proof of income can get $125 a year in vouchers for their prescriptions.

A senior, 60 or older, can get $180 enough to get you through an emergency.

But if you have an ongoing, chronic condition, Medical Service Bureau can help you enroll in a program that if you qualify, might provide you with free medicine.
