Hutchinson man dies in hit-and-run accident

KSN-TV — A Colorado man remains behind bars, accused of leaving the scene after running over and killing a Hutchinson man Sunday.

Just before 2 a.m., a truck driven by Pedro Perez was struck by a Chevy Trailblazer. Perez died at the scene, and a passenger in his vehicle was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Hutchinson police say the suspect ran from the scene, but was taken into custody a short time later.

Police have identified him as 28-year-old Homer Alexander Beebe from Clifton, Colorado.
