Trio of Shockers selected on final day of MLB Draft

WICHITA, Kansas – On Saturday’s final day of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, three more Wichita State baseball players are selected.

A.J. Ladwig was drafted in the 11th round by the Detroit Tigers, Chase Simpson was selected in the 14th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates and Tyler Baker was drafted in the 15th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

WSU’s Casey Gillaspie was taken earlier in the week, in the first round (20th overall) by the Tampa Bay Rays.
