Sheriff’s department to conduct DUI crackdown Saturday

UPDATE Monday, June 9th: According to a news release from the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, their deputies arrested six adults for DUI and one adult for a bench warrant.

They said the operation consisted of one sergeant and four deputies.

The operation was funded by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation.

WICHITA, Kansas – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department will conduct a DUI crackdown Saturday.

The department says it is an effort to decrease the number of intoxicated drivers.

The patrol will be held Saturday between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday.

A grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation will help fund the patrol.
