Full house for new Wichita State hall

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita State’s Shocker Hall has a full house.

As of May 14, Shocker Hall was full with more than 775 students expected to reside in the new residence hall.

The new hall will open in August.

Applicants after May 14 are being placed on a waiting list.

If no rooms become available by Aug. 1, students on the wait list will be placed in Fairmount Towers.

The new residence hall, between Cessna Stadium and Morrison Hall, will hold 782 beds. A new 400-seat dining hall will be attached to Shocker Hall.

Each floor will have a laundry room, community kitchen and lounge area.
