JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (AP) – The Geary County Sheriff says a fisherman saw the body of Stephen Edwards after it surfaced Wednesday.

The sheriff’s office says Edwards drowned Sunday when he went into the water to retrieve a fishing pole and didn’t resurface. He was fishing with a grandson and friend at the time.

The family says an underlying heart condition might have contributed to his death.
