WSU baseball team stays alive with 8-6 victory over Evansville

TERRE HAUTE, Indiana – Helping the Wichita State baseball team avoid elimination in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, WSU’s Dayne Parker hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning to defeat Evansville 8-6 on Wednesday.

Along with Parker, Chase Simpson had a big game going 4-for-5 with three RBIs, two doubles and a triple. Parker finished 3-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs and a HR.

The Shockers will play Thursday morning, May 22nd against either Illinois State or Southern Illinois.
