WSU baseball team ends regular-season with 15-5 victory

NORMAL, IL – Getting set for postseason play, WSU concluded the regular-season with a 15-5 run-rule victory over Illinois State on Saturday.

Wichita State slugger Casey Gillaspie finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a home run, while Garrett Bayliff also had a solid day going 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Highlighting a seven-run fifth inning, Daniel Kihle belted a three-run triple propelling WSU to a 13-0 lead.

Coming off a three-game sweep, the Shocks will be the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and will take on the No. 5 Redbirds May 20th in Terre Haute, IN.
