Un-elect Kobach movement goes door-to-door

WICHITA, Kan. — After gaining national attention for his work on voter ID laws in Kansas and Arizona, Secretary of State Kris Kobach was the target of a door-to-door un-elect campaign by one Kansas group today.

The Kansas People’s Action Political Fund spent the day going door-to-door trying to get people to register to vote but also to pledge to vote against Kobach and Governor Sam Brownback as well.

The group claims to have knocked on more than 230 doors and received close to 200 signatures.

“We are tired of their policies, we are tired of people paying the price, poor people paying the price and giving tax breaks to millionaires and having our communities be the ones suffering,” said Sulma Arias, Executive Director of Kansas People’s Action Political Fund.

The KPAPF will hold another door knocking event next weekend beginning at their headquarters on North Ash Street.
