High wind knocks over large tree in Mount Hope

MOUNT HOPE, Kansas – High wind from Sunday night’s severe storms knocked over a large tree in Mt. Hope in northwestern Sedgwick County.

The tree landed on the roof of the home causing some damage.

No one was injured.

To the north in McPherson County, storms rolled through around 10 p.m.

A tornado touched down just south of McPherson.

There was no damage reported from the tornado, but there were reports of downed power poles in the area.
