Drive-by shooting in north Wichita sends 2 to hospital

WICHITA, Kan. — A drive-by shooting occurred at 2:20 a.m. in the 2700 block of North Arkansas. The target was a group of people outside an apartment building.

There were seven total people, ages 18-33, standing outside the complex when they observed a 1995 model, white Crown Victoria pull up, firing shots.

Two individuals received minor injuries. One was hit in the foot and another was shot in the leg. Both were transported to St. Francis Hospital for treatment. There is no word on if they were released yet.

Police did not have a description of the suspects but are still investigating the case.
