Wichita breaks another temperature record

WICHITA, Kansas – The National Weather Service reports that Wichita broke a record temperature for this date.

The temperature reached 99 degrees around 3 p.m.

The temperature just after 4 p.m. was at 97 degrees.

It broke the record of 91 set in 1986.

Medicine Lodge reported a temperature of 102 degrees at 4 p.m.

Hutchinson had a temperature of 101 degrees at 4 p.m.
