Pair of accidents closes Kellogg for part of the morning

WICHITA, Kansas – A four vehicle collision near Meridian shut down eastbound Kellogg at West Street for several hours Tuesday morning.  It left one woman critically injured.

The accident occurred around 8:15 a.m.

According to authorities, a red truck was swerving in and out of traffic and hit an SUV.

Two other vehicles were caught up in the crash.

The driver of the red truck fled the scene.

Authorities say that truck was stolen.

“An officer from Kansas Newman saw the subject walking and was able to identify that person as the driver of the red truck. We have him identified, and we are currently looking for him,” said Capt. Darrell Atteberry, Wichita Police Department.
