Fountain show at WaterWalk to start this weekend

WICHITA, Kansas – The Fountains at WaterWalk are set to begin another season of entertaining visitors downtown.

Starting this Friday, May 9, four shows will take place at noon, 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday-Sunday.

Each 10- to 15-minute show will incorporate music, lights and water in a choreographed display to different genres of music, including country, classic rock, classical and ’80s rock.

The fountains are located at 605 N. Wichita Street, east of Gander Mountain.

The Fountains at WaterWalk were installed in October 2012.

They are 150-feet long and have more than 1,200 custom designed and patented nozzles.

The regular fountain season runs May through October.
