Backyard Terror: Hawk Attacks

(WFIE) An Indiana woman was attacked by a hawk in her yard on Wednesday, and now she’s trying to figure out how to get rid of it.

The hawk and its mate have nested in a tree that overlooks Kathy Partridge’s home.

She says hawks have always nested there and until recently they have never attacked.

Partridge was moving a bicycle out of her garage Wednesday when the male hawk swooped down and sliced the top of her head with one of its talons.

She has a three-inch cut and now she and her family are a little leery of the hawks.
