Fort Hays State University student killed in crash

HAYS, Kansas – A Fort Hays State University student was killed in a crash Thursday night.

It happened around 9:50 p.m. in the 1300 block of Spring Hill Road.

Dylan Woodward, a Fort Hays State student from Belleville, collided with a westbound Ford pickup, driven by Thomas J. Rack.

Rack sustained minor injuries.

Woodward was transported by EMS to Hays Medical Center where he passed away.

The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
