Alumi Honor Controversial Coach

(WJAC) A group of Pennsylvania State University alumni aren’t waiting around to see what the school is going to do with a statue of the late former football coach Joe Paterno.

They are planning to kick off a campaign to build another statue to honor the contributions Paterno and his family have made to the school and the State College area.

PSU alumni Kim Intorre, Ted Sebastianelli and Eric Porterfield announced plans to create a Paterno statue in downtown State College, giving alumni a place to remember the coach and give those who wish to honor his legacy a spot to reflect. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
