Shockers lose in 10 innings to Mizzou

KANSAS CITY, Mo – Batting WSU for the first time in a decade, Mizzou scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th to beat the Shockers 5-4 in the College Baseball Hall of Fame Classic.

Playing at Kauffman Stadium, Garrett Bayliff went 2-for-5 with two RBIs, while Casey Gillaspie went 4-for-5.

Starter Kris Gardner went four innings and gave up one run on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

In a tight game, Tyler Baker tied it up at four with a sac fly in the eighth, but the Tigers used two hits and two walks to score the winning run in the bottom of the 10th.

The Shockers are next in action on Fri., April 25 at Tulane at 6:30 p.m.
