Severe weather firing up in Kansas

WICHITA, Kansas – The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of Kansas.

The watch is in effect until 11 p.m.

Kansas counties included are Barton, Cloud, Decatur, Gove, Graham, Jewell, Lincoln, Logan, Mitchell, Norton, Osborne, Phillips, Republic, Rooks, Russell, Sheridan, Smith, Thomas and Wichita.

The KSN Storm Tracker 3 weather team is tracking storms and they say large hail and damaging wind is the primary threat.

An isolated tornado is also possible.
