SALINA, Kansas – Smoke from several grass fires west of Salina late Monday afternoon made driving treacherous along Interstate 70.

The smoke, along with a five vehicle crash, prompted a portion of the interstate to be closed for a short time.

The crash involved some semis.  Two people were transported to the hospital.

Firefighters from several counties helped put out the blaze.
