Simpson & Ladwig lead WSU to run-rule win

A.J. Ladwig went the distance and Chase Simpson ignited Wichita State’s offense as the Shockers opened their three-game series with a 10-0 run-rule win over SIU on Friday night.

Ladwig hurled seven shutout innings and struck out three Saluki hitters in the victory. Simpson went 3-for-4 at the plate, including a three-run homer in the first inning for the Shockers.
