Police issue 25 citations during seat belt saturation patrol

WICHITA, Kansas – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department cited 25 people during a seat belt enforcement patrol.

The patrol happened on April 10th.

Twenty four adult seat belt violations and one teen seat belt violation were issued.

Additionally, thirteen 13 citations were written for other traffic violations and misdemeanors.

There was one arrest for transportation of an open container of an alcoholic beverage and possession of marijuana.

The operation consisted of one sergeant, three deputies, and two reserves.

It was funded by a Kansas Department of Transportation grant.
