WICHITA, Kan. — A robbery was reported after a 28-year-old female was approached by a 25-year-old at the east Kellogg Wal-Mart.

The suspect asked for a ride home and said he would pay her but the woman still refused. That’s when the man pulled out a handgun and put it to her head and demanded the keys to the car.

The woman tried to get out and run but the suspect held her arm so she screamed for help. That is when the man ran away.

After police arrived on the scene an officer noticed a taxi pulling into the parking lot and saw a man getting in. Police stopped the taxi and found the suspect inside and then arrested him. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
