WICHITA, Kansas – The song may have been a bit out of her comfort zone, but Kaleigh Glanton’s performance on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Voice” earned her a spot in the next round of the competition.
Kaleigh beat out Noah Lis in the battle round to the song “Everything”, made famous by Michael Buble. Although the song was closer to his vocal style, Glanton says she had performed it well before, and put in lots of preparation to excel in the performance.
“I’m very used to singing songs that are not my style, and I change them up to be my style, so that’s not the difficult part,” Glanton told KSN Tuesday night.
A perk of making it to this portion of the contest was working with country stars The Band Perry, which gave Kaleigh some valuable pointers for the competition and beyond.
“They’re awesome,” she said. “They’re so incredible and so talented, and gave such awesome advice and really helped me with harmonies and everything I needed to do in order to make it through.”
Another round of battles begins next week on “The Voice” right here on KSN.
