Ex-WSU associate coach Jans, introduced as B. Green’s new head coach

In men’s college basketball, one of the integral former members of the Wichita State coaching staff, Chris Jans held his first press conference as Bowling Green’s new head coach on Tuesday. He thanked
several people including Wichita State Coach Gregg Marshall and the entire WSU coaching staff & players, along with the Wichita community.

Jans spent seven seasons at WSU, where he helped lead the Shockers to the Final Four a year ago and finish 35-1 this season. He’ll replace Louis Orr who finished 12-20 during his final year at the helm.
Jans, a native of Fairbank, Iowa will reportedly make $325,000 with a six-year contract.
