School bus road rage

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (KOB) – An Albuquerque, New Mexico school bus driver has been arrested after allegedly getting into a road rage incident with another motorist while students were on the bus.

According to Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputies, several calls were received Monday afternoon about an incident that occurred near between an APS bus filled with students and another motorist.

By the time deputies located the bus it was empty.

The driver, who has been identified as 51-year-old Linda Barreto, admitted to deputies she had been involved in an altercation with another motorist and that were students on the bus at the time of the incident.

During the investigation, deputies discovered prescription pills in Barreto’s possession that she did not have a prescription for.

Barreto was arrested and charged with with third degree child abuse and unlawful means of obtaining drugs. Deputies said additonal charges may be filed pending the outcome of the investigation.

Barreto works for the Herrera Bus Company.

Albuquerque, New Mexico has asked Herrera to take Barreto off her routes. Calls to the company went unreturned.
