Woman dies after crash in west Wichita

WICHITA, Kansas – A woman who was critically injured in a west Wichita crash died Friday morning.

The crash happened Thursday evening at 135th West and Maple where witnesses say a GMC blazer was speeding westbound on Maple.

Police say that’s when 26-year-old Mayra Segura of Wichita ran into the back of the semi.

They say the accident was caused by alcohol and speeding, and Segura was going around 80 miles per hour at the time of the crash.

Segura was thrown from the blazer.
