WICHITA, Kansas — The Kansas Department of Transportation has released their weekly update and has informed KSN of several projects that will affect traffic this week.

On March 6 and 7 contractors for Westar will remove overhead power lines spanning I-235 between Maple and Central. The right lanes of both North and South bound I-235 will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. plus all traffic will be briefly stopped when the lines are actually being lowered to the ground.

Also, the ramp to West bound K-96 from Greenwich will be closed all next week as a drainage pipe will be installed under the existing ramp. KDOT suggests the use of the 21 St. entrance ramp as an alternative.
