Bull riding back for Phillipsburg summer festival

PHILLIPSBURG, Kansas (AP) – Bull riding will be back at this summer’s Riverless Festival in Phillipsburg.

The Professional Bull Riders event will be held June 7 in conjunction with the festival, which already boasts that it has the state’s biggest rodeo.

Ruth Nicholas, an event organizer, said the bull riding will add an evening activity to the all-day festival, which began in 1985.

The Hays Daily News reports tickets for the PBR event go on sale May 12.
