WICHITA, Kansas – Two Wichita teens say they were approached by a suspicious man.

It happened Monday morning around 7:50 a.m. in the 2600 block of East Skinner near Mead Middle School.

Two 13-year-old boys say they were approached by a 30 to 40-year-old man in a gold Buick.

He tried to convince the students to get in his car.

The boys ran to school and told officials.

“At this point, we don’t have any information to say that it didn’t happen,” said Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police Department. “They did the right thing. Again, they did everything they should do.”

Anyone who may have seen a suspicious car should call police.
