WICHITA, Kansas – Employers across south-central Kansas are looking to fill hundreds of jobs.
Sam’s Club is looking to fill 160 position for a new store in Wichita.
There are a variety of full and part-time jobs in receiving and stocking, technology associates, cashiers and others.
The new store will be built on North Maize Road and is set to open late this summer.
It will be the third store in the Wichita area and the ninth in Kansas.
The job fair begins at 2 p.m. Monday at the hiring center that’s at 3460 North Ridge Road
Applicants should dress appropriately and bring a current resume.
The hiring center is also open Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday afternoons.
Martin Event Services is holding a job fair for security workers, guest services and ticket takers at Hartman Arena.
The company is also looking to fill security openings at INTRUST Bank Arena, Kansas Star Arena, Wichita State University and other sites.
The job fair is Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hartman Arena.
Applicants should enter through the main entrance on the east side by the box office and must be able to pass a background check.
If you’re looking for work in the Cowley County area, you will two chances to meet local employers next week.
More than 20 companies will come together to fill more than 300 openings in Arkansas City and Winfield.
They’ll be taking applications in production, health care, food preparation and housekeeping.
The first job fair is March 4th at the Winfield High School auxiliary gym.
It is from 9 a.m. to noon.
The second hiring event is March 5th from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at in the Cowley College Wright Room.
Businesses will be accepting resumes and conducting onsite interviews at both locations.
