Kingman school bus involved in accident

KINGMAN, Kansas — Kingman County Sheriff’s Officers and the Kingman Emergency Medical Service responded to a two vehicle accident that involved a school bus Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:42 p.m.

The bus was carrying seven students and the driver when it was headed north bound and collided with a south bound SUV. The accident occurred about three miles east of Kingman, Kan.

The students were ages 6 to 15 years old. No one on the bus was injured. The SUV was occupied by only the driver and the driver was taken to Kingman Community Hospital in stable condition.

The incident is being investigated by the Kingman Sheriff’s Office.

USD 331 officials responded and the students’ parents were notified. Parents did come to the scene to pickup the children.
