Amber Alert audio hard to hear on television

WICHITA, Kansas – The next tough question involves how the Amber Alert looked and sounded on television.

Karese writes on KSN’s Facebook that “Sadly, the TV alert seemed like a practice run.”

Tammy said, “Please KSN, turn your volume up on your broadcast for the Amber Alert. Can barely hear it at all.”

The complaints seemed to cover any station you were watching.

Viewers say the Amber Alert announcer was too quiet.

They had to crank up the audio.

KSN engineers say this is the way the feed came in.

It originates from WIBW, a radio station in Topeka.

On Wednesday, our engineers have been following up with them to see why the audio was so low.

They plan to stay on it until they’re assured the audio will be corrected.
