Lady Shockers break Top 25

WOMEN SHOCKERS-WIPE VO-1.transfer_frame_209

The Wichita State University women’s basketball team has done something no other women’s Shocker team has done before them. They have cracked the USA Today Sports Division I Coaches’ Poll and are currently No. 24.

The program is on a 19-game winning streak and currently holds onto a 20-2 overall record and 13-0 Missouri Valley record.

In recent weeks the lady Shockers had been on the cusp of being in the top 25 and had received votes but didn’t make it until wins over Bradley and Loyola this past weekend. They are yet to get into the AP Top 25 Poll but could be in after another week or two of their winning streak.

This coming weekend, Wichita State will be tested on the road against both Drake and Northern Iowa.
