If you’ve been waiting to sink your teeth into a thin mint, the waiting is almost over.

Girl Scout cookies go on sale Saturday and to kick off the event, the Girl Scouts and leaders worked all day to turn Towne West Mall in Wichita into a cookie lover’s dream.

There were 25 stations set up with games and activities involving all the different kinds of cookies sold.

Not only does it help the individual troops, there are life lessons as well.

“The reason that we love the cookie sales so much is because we teach the girls life long skills, such as business ethics, money management, setting goals, all things that are really important to the development of young girls,” said Amanda Groff with Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland.

The boxes are $3.50 a piece with the proceeds staying in Kansas to support Girl Scout activities.

The cookies are sold through March 9th.
