WICHITA, Kansas – Wesley Medical and Via Christi hospitals have given KSN a report of just how many cases they’ve seen related to the recent winter weather that has swept the area.
The combined totals of the two are as follows:
57 people have been seen for injuries due to slips and falls.
11 cases involved motor vehicle accidents.
15 more cases were reported to have breathing difficulties.
1 patient was not admitted at St. Joseph but was in due to cold exposure.
Wesley Medical Center also reported that they did see multiple heart complications but they can not credit any of those specifically to weather.
