Conditions at the turnpike

EAST WICHITA, Kansas — The heavy snow near the East Kellogg Turnpike Exit slowed down around the noon hour but the wind chill is picking up.

Visibility has improved drastically and there is a lot of slush developing.

The Kansas Turnpike authority has sent out around 60 snow trucks to clear the roadways for drivers that need to be out.

Authorities advise to be especially careful on the exit and entrance ramps because there are still slick spots.

There have been several fender-benders reported but nothing serious at this time.
