WICHITA, Kansas — A couple dozen people braved the cold weather today and jumped into icy water to help raise money for charity.

The sixth annual polar plunge at O.J. Watson Park raises money for the Kansas Special Olympics.

More than 25 brave souls raced into the frigid water to help fund-raise for the group’s event.

The water today hovering just eight degrees above freezing was actually higher than the air temperature outside.
