Crosser enters no contest plea

WICHITA, Kansas — Clara Crosser has been convicted of wounding a Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputy. She entered a no contest plea Friday to a charge of attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, two counts of burglary, criminal damage to property and possession of methamphetamine.

During the conclusion of a high speed chase March 11, 2013 that went from Sedgwick to Butler County, Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputy Lucas Powell was wounded.

On March 25th, District Judge Faith Maughan will sentence Crosser.
