WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police have made two arrests in a child abuse case that left a 3-month-old boy with critical injuries Tuesday.

The boy is at Wesley Medical center with internal injuries to his head and torso.

On Wednesday, police arrested the boy’s 26-year-old father, Aaron Piland, and his 28-year-old mother, Christina Schulte.

Two other children, a 3-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy, were taken into protective police custody.

Police say the couple moved to Wichita from Hutchinson to live with the Christina’s parents.
