Topeka native and former Kansas Jayhawk, Gary Woodland, is the leader after the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

Woodland—wearing KU blue- made five birdies to finish his Saturday round with a 2 under par 70. He’s 8 under for the tournament, good for a one shot lead over 20-year old Jordan Spieth and Marc Leisham of Australia going into the final round on Sunday.

The final round won’t include Tiger Woods. In a shocking performance at course where he has won eight times, Woods went seven straight holes with a bogey or worse and matched his worst score on American soil with a 79. Woods missed the 54-hole cut.
