The Shockers are on the road Saturday night to take on Missouri Valley opponent Drake.

Wichita State will improve to 21-0 on the season with a win but must be careful to not overlook the Bulldogs. Out of the last seven times Wichita State has played at Knapp Center in Des Moines, they have only come home victorious twice.

Drake is 11-8 overall this season and 2-5 in the MVC but has a weapon in senior Richard Carter that has been hard to stop this season. Carter currently ranks third in conference with an average of 17.9 points per game.

However, the Shockers team defense will be what they lean on as they have allowed only 59.8 points per game this season while putting up about 75 points on average.

Cleanthony Early was the top performer in WSU’s last game as he hit six three-pointers and finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Despite Early’s stellar game, much of the buzz was about Tekele Cotton’s high-flying dunk which was a SportsCenter Top 10 play.

The game is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. Central Time.
