WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita State won big Tuesday night over the Bradley Braves at Charles Koch Arena.
The No. 5 ranked Shockers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.
Fred VanVleet tied a career high in points as he led the Shockers to the win with 22 points and 7 rebounds.
“I don’t want to be cocky or anything, but when I step on that court ,I feel like I’m the best player and I think that’s the attitude you gotta have.”
VanVleet’s great showing combined with a total of 27 bench points lifted Wichita State to an easy 18th straight win.
The final score was 72-50 and the Shockers keep momentum while on their goal to run the table in the Missouri Valley. However, a key conference matchup awaits Wichita State next as they play host to the 12-4 Indiana State Sycamores.
After the games Tuesday, Wichita State is now one of three teams in the nation still undefeated. No. 3 Wisconsin was upset by Indiana 75-72. No. 1 Arizona and No. 2 Syracuse each will have their streak challenged by the end of the week as they both face Top 25 teams.
