Free flu shots still available in Delaware

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Delaware public health officials are wrapping up a series of free flu shot clinics at state service centers.

Friday marks the last day of the flu clinics, which are intended for those who have no health care provider or whose insurance does not cover flu and pneumonia vaccinations.

The state clinics began in October and offer flu shots for adults and children as young as 6 months.

Public health officials say vaccinations are particularly important for pregnant women, senior citizens, people with chronic health conditions and those who care for young children.
