Leeza Gibbons, USC hold forum on healthy aging

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Lt. Gov. Glenn McConnell and TV hostess Leeza Gibbons are speaking at a University of South Carolina forum on aging.

Gibbons is an alumna of the USC’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications. She speaks Tuesday at the 9 a.m. forum at the Ernest Hollings Library on the Columbia campus.

She is the co-host of “America Now,” a syndicated television news program. She is the founder of Leeza’s Place, a resource center committed to providing support for caregivers of loved ones with a memory disorder or progressive illness.

Other speakers include Beth Sulkowski, senior director for communications and advocacy for the Alzheimer’s Association, and Sue Levkoff, who holds an endowed chair for the SeniorSMART Center of Economic Excellence.
