MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has upgraded their online map tracking chronic wasting disease.
The map shows harvest locations of all deer tested for CWD, including positive results. Users can look at sampling data by deer management unit, county or township. The upgrades include more drawing tools that allow users to create personalized maps, the ability measure distances, which can help hunters determine how close the nearest positive is to his or her hunting area, and easier navigation through tabbed options.
Users can get to the map by entering “CWD prevalence” in the DNR website’s search field.
