RALEIGH — North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin has scheduled a 1 p.m. press conference to discuss yesterday’s announcement by President Obama that people will be allowed to keep their old insurance policies. MORGANTON — Firefighters are making progress in controlling a wildfire in Pisgah National Forest in Burke County, although the blaze has grown to 1,800 acres.
