Sanford, NDSU join together for nursing education

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Sanford Health officials in North Dakota say the hospital plans to partner with North Dakota State University for nursing education.

The Dakotas-based health care provider currently has 136 students at its Sanford College of Nursing. Sanford officials say it can no longer operate independently because of new accreditation standards.

Sanford Bismarck president Craig Lambrecht tells The Forum newspaper (http://bit.ly/HFfVyL) that NDSU and Sanford College of Nursing have similar admission standards and training.

A final agreement is expected to be in place by the fall of 2014.
