Rabies infected raccoon found in Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A raccoon found in a Boynton Beach neighborhood has tested positive for rabies.

The police department reminded residents on Thursday to check their pets’ vaccination records to ensure they are up to date.

The raccoon was found on Sunday by a local resident who noticed the raccoon acting sick. The raccoon was picked up by animal control and tested for rabies.
