CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Multiple law enforcement agencies in Wyoming are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration to offer people a chance to safely dispose of prescription medication.
The DEA is working with state and local law enforcement to collect and dispose of the drugs at locations across the state until 2 p.m. Saturday.
The chemicals in prescription drugs can harm wildlife or the environment if thrown away or flushed down a sink or toilet. Drugs left in trash bins or by the curb also can be stolen and abused.
